I identify as Xicana, of Mexican and Germanic descent, and cisgender female. I am also light-skinned, and acknowledge the privilege of this.

While no one, mixed-race or otherwise, has to justify their identity(ies), I believe that accurately representing myself and using decolonized language in how I speak about myself–and encourage my clients to speak about themselves–is an important part of healing, self-understanding, and building a more socially just world. I strive to create a place of safety for us to explore your identity and heal wounds from an anti-oppressive approach. I am aware that my body may unconsciously trigger responses for persons of color and believe awareness of my own intersection of identities, your unique intersection of identities, and the intersection of the client and therapists' identities within the therapeutic relationship are important to acknowledge.

I am an author of fantasy and am passionate about working with clients around the expression of their own creativity and art. But when I’m not writing or providing therapy, you can find me in the mountains with my husband and two dogs, climbing rocks, scrambling summits, alpine touring, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
